Barn Owl Cottage
Barn Owl was our first cottage and the start of our holiday business in 2017. The front door opens into a hallway with a coat, shoe, and lead storage area, perfect for dropping everything and relaxing after a long day out in the fields.
Secure parking alongside the cottage, with access to the fields via a double-gated pathway, means that you can relax from the moment you drive into your own enclosed parking area and shut the world behind you.
Clad in the traditional barn black larch, all of the cottages are designed to reflect the local barns and stables…they really are beautiful.
Open plan kitchen & seating area
The kitchen is open plan to the seating area, with dining table and chairs, bespoke sofa, wood-burning stove (with logs included), tv with Freeview, DVD player, Bluetooth soundbar, and digital radio with Spotify.
The washing machine and tumble dryer are shared between the three cottages and can be found in the laundry opposite. Each cottage also has underfloor heating via an air-source heat pump, so we are environmentally friendly too. It is a little haven of luxury and has everything you need to shut the doors and hide away from the world.
Our aim is to make your stay as close to home-from-home as possible, and we like to think we have achieved that.

Included within the kitchen are the following: cutlery, crockery, glasses (and plastics for the hot tub), pots & pans, slow cooker, hand blender and whisk, serving/baking dishes, roasting tins, cake tins, digital scales, utensils, cafetiere, food storage boxes, tea towels, scourers, cloths, cleaning spray, hand soap, kitchen roll, bin bags, tea, ground and instant coffee, sugar, oil, vinegar, salt & pepper.
Secure garden with hot tub
Outside the beautiful floor-to-ceiling window is the garden with hot tub, table and chairs, and BBQ.
The garden is artificial grass, with slate and fairy lighting, all surrounded by 6ft fences for your privacy and security. If you are looking for escapism, this is where you will find it!
There are at least 6m between the cottages and gardens at their narrowest point. The cottage has fully secure parking and direct field access via a double-gated pathway. No one else’s dogs can see or bother yours (and vice versa); therefore, you don’t need to use leads while you’re here. This is what we mean when we say it is a holiday for everyone.
Bedrooms & Sleeping
Barn Owl Cottage has two gorgeous bedrooms which sleep up to four people, both with super king-size beds (one can be a twin).
There is also a choice of pillows, luxury duvets, cotton bed linen, throws (for canine companions who sleep on beds), and plenty of hanging space for clothes.
Bathroom
The bathroom includes a full-size bath with a powerful shower over.
We have also included towels, shower and bath gel, moisturiser, loo roll, and cleaning equipment – not that we expect you to clean!
Just look after our cottages with the love they deserve.

Added extras for you and your dog…
Each cottage provides a dog hamper which contains dog towels, dog shampoo for any rolling incidents, dog tags with our address on, water and food bowls, Pet Remedy spray, biodegradable poo bags, Simple Solution in case of any accidents, vet wrap and soft ban for emergency bandaging. And the number of the nearest vets is on the fridge…just in case!
Also included are a selection of books, games, and in-depth information about local shops, pubs and things to see and do. We want you to make the most of your experience here, and with our inside knowledge of the local area, we feel best suited to guide you on this. Accessibility
Barn Owl is all on one level inside, however the shower is over the bath and doors are standard widths. There are small steps to the front door, and out to the garden.
