Limited Weeks Holiday Let

Would you like to stay in our house, on the same site as the cottages but with its own garden and walking field. Lots of space for dogs and humans to relax.

Adults only, due to open stairs and unfenced garden pond.

Not suitable for those with mobility problems as both bedrooms are upstairs.

Unlimited dogs, welcome on beds etc…

Unlimited dogs, welcome on beds etc. Same rules as the current holiday cottages. No charge, obviously.
The garden is approximately 0.75 acres, one large space at the back and a smaller space at the front which is perfect for nighttime wees etc.
There is an unfenced / overgrown pond in the garden, and there are resident moorhens.
There are often rabbits and occasionally squirrels in the garden. And all sorts of birds and insects. It’s a typical country garden.
One corner of the garden is fenced off with 3ft6in palisade fencing. Here be dragons 😉 Not really but it is overgrown and so out of bounds for now.
Fencing is either thick, very high hedges, with stock fencing for the lower 4ft. Or 6ft feather edge wooden fencing.
The garden runs parallel to the road. There are occasionally dog walkers / runners / cyclists. The hedge blocks visibility but they may be heard.
The field (Road Field) behind is accessible directly from the garden and is approximately 3 acres.
There is NO access to Pond / Back Field while staying in Whitecross Farm House. There is a screened field between Road Field and Pond Field.
Road Field is yours to use at any time, apart from Wednesday evenings and Sunday 10 – 3 when Calum (www.woofandwood.co.uk) may have 1:1 dog training clients. If he is not using Road Field during your stay we will let you know so you can use it at those times too.
Outside hot / cold dog wash.
There are 3 built in dog crates in the living room, plus all the usual ones to borrow.
All the usual bowls and dog supplies, plus Buzz may even leave access to his toy box.

Bedrooms & Sleeping

Two large bedrooms. 4 adults maximum. (No children due to stairs, pond.)

Bedrooms are identical in size with superking beds. One can be a twin if required.

Bathroom

Bathroom 1 has loo, sink,

Bathroom 2 is a shower, loo, sink.

Both have shaver points, lit mirrors, heated towel rail.

Facilities

It is our home, but has been equipped to ensure it meets all the necessary legal requirements for holiday lets.
Enclosed parking for 2 cars.
EV charging available from the charger at the cottages.
Large boot room, lots of hooks, separate utility room, and downstairs loo. Utility room has washing machine and tumble dryer, small under counter fridge for dog food, and large sink.
Big kitchen diner with all the usual gadgets and gizmos, breakfast bar for 2 people, cuddle chair, dog chair, dining table etc. Patio doors to the back garden.
Flooring is Floors for Paws non slip, or carpet.
Huge fridge and freezer. Dishwasher. Quooker tap (which may be my favourite thing about the whole house).
Big sitting room with corner sofa, wood burner, smart tv etc.
Stairs up to the bedrooms and bathrooms are open – there are gaps between the rungs. They are carpeted. This, and the pond, is the main reason this is an adults only let.
No hot tub.
BBQ and outdoor furniture.

Added extras for you and your dog…

Each cottage provides a dog hamper which contains dog towels, dog shampoo for any rolling incidents, dog tags with our address on, water and food bowls, Pet Remedy spray, biodegradable poo bags, Simple Solution in case of any accidents, vet wrap and soft ban for emergency bandaging. And the number of the nearest vets is on the fridge…just in case!

Also included are a selection of books, games, and in-depth information about local shops, pubs and things to see and do. We want you to make the most of your experience here, and with our inside knowledge of the local area, we feel best suited to guide you on this.
